Of all the choices you must make for your wedding day, the selection of photographer is unquestionably one of the most important. Once the day is over and all is said and done, your precious photos are what you'll have to remember for years to come. Photographer Jennifer Neves has the talent to capture the essence of your wedding day in a beautiful and unforgettable way.
For Jennifer, photography was a passion from an early age. Today, as she photographs weddings, Jennifer says she enjoys capturing those special looks, glances and smiles of the day. Her style is honest and timeless, though she keeps on the cutting edge with newest materials and equipment.
Jennifer has a wealth of exciting ideas for shooting your wedding day and can truly capture that "Newport feel" of your wedding. Her favorite locations include those with the Newport Bridge as a background. "How much fun to have sailboats floating about with the bridge as a back drop! Nothing says New England more than that!!" she says. Jennifer's ingenuity also prepares her to quickly adapt to New England's unreliable weather. This past season was so wet and rainy that, "I gave up on hoping for the best and turned it around," she says, "I ran out and purchased a bunch of really colorful umbrellas and went for it! Some of the most fun and interesting shots this past season were with the umbrellas!"
Jennifer offers her expert opinion on color options: "Black and white has been a very popular request for years. By taking color out of an image, what remains is the emotional portion of the picture, the facial expressions tell the story."
You can also opt to have an engagement shoot with Jennifer, which is special and helpful allowing the couple and the photographer to get acquainted. Such photos can also be used in the décor of the wedding, for example as seating cards or as a guest book. Boudoir sessions are another unique option, which make a fun present to give the groom! Post wedding services ranging from album designing to maternity and family photos later on are also available.
Jennifer says her favorite wedding moment is always, "when a groom loses his breath and starts to cry the first time he sees his bride... it gets me every time." Her advice for couples before their big day? "Try to remember what is important to you instead of trying to please everyone else." As your photographer, Jennifer keeps this in mind, ensuring you and your fiancee are happy with how she preserves the memory of such a special day in your life. -CM
