At the core of your wedding reception lies the choice of caterer.  After all, the food that is served at the event will be tasted and talked about by all your guests so it must be superb.  Russell Morin Fine Catering has the excellence to exceed your expectations and the exceptional reputation to prove it, as Southern New England's top caterer.  Elizabeth Lutz, Sales and Event Coordinator of Russell Morin Fine Catering offers a "behind the scenes" look on why Morin's is simply the best there is.

After delving into the world of weddings by working with a wedding planner, Elizabeth joined Russell Morin Fine Catering and immediately knew she was a part of something spectacular,  "Russ Morin's passion and dedication to providing exquisite service, outstanding cuisine, and loyalty to his clients and employees alike has made Morins the leading caterer in Southern New England."

As Sales and Event Coordinator it is Elizabeth's job to make sure every detail the bride has requested is executed on her wedding day.  She takes her clients' priorities and ideas and works with them to make it happen.  "We like to meet with the bride and groom to get their perspective on what is their ideal menu and then we take that information to our seasoned chefs for a customized menu incorporating all their wishes," she says.  And for those brides with a budget, Elizabeth will work with you to focus on your priorities,  "Having at least one really fantastic and out of the ordinary element will make any wedding unique," she says.

Wondering about menu options? Elizabeth explains, "Both menu options and the style of serve set the tone for the reception.  If you want a more casual feel, choose stations or family style.  A plated meal lends to a more formal feeling."  The hottest new trend in wedding catering is "an urban upscale twist to comfort food.  For example, truffled grilled cheese or lobster mac-n-cheese in edible spoons as passed hors d'oeuvres."  Passed desserts are also a huge trend.  Elizabeth's favorite? Cheesecake lollipops dipped in chocolate and rolled in Butterfinger.  Sounds scrumptious.

Finally Elizabeth offers one last piece of advice: "Have fun and don't sweat the small stuff. It's over before you know it!" By choosing Russell Morin Fine Catering and their amazing cuisine paired with outstanding professionalism and service, you certainly can't go wrong.-CM

Elizabeth looks forward to meeting you at the 8th Annual Newport Bridal Show!

Choosing the entertainment for your wedding is one of the most crucial decisions to make.  After all, what is the reception without good music?  If you've decided on a DJ for your wedding, you might consider Luke's Disc Jockey Service. The company, run by Luke B. Renchan, dates back to 1983 when it was founded by his father.  Immersed in the business from a young age, Luke has the experience and passion to ensure your wedding's success.  He understands the importance a DJ's role plays, and is ready to be a part of your vision.
"It is so great to be a part of a couple's most special day," Luke says, "from the moment we meet in our office, a bond is created between us.  That bond is trust and understanding, which ultimately leads to many new friendships."  The music style is completely at the discretion of the clients, some come in and know everything that they want and others ask for ideas and suggestions.  With more than 1,000 weddings under its belt, Luke's Disc Jockey Service can help brides and grooms through this process. "We also really like to personalize a wedding to the style of the event.  Whether personalizing the introductions to include a brief bio of each person being introduced, complimenting with a unique song for each entrance, to keeping it simple," Luke says.
Luke's Disc Jockey Service has won the Best of the Knot for 3 years in a row, 2008, 2009 and 2010.  They also were featured in the Rhode Show on Fox news in the summer of 2009 and now are the featured DJ for the NBC Turn to 10 Wedding.  Luke is President of the RI Wedding Group and President of the Southern New England Association of Professional Disc Jockeys.
Since every aspect that goes into planning a wedding day is important, you can be sure that the professionalism and expertise of Luke's Disc Jockey Service will only enhance your dream day.  As Luke says, "It all fits like a puzzle, and if one of the pieces doesn't fit, it affects everything else."

When asked what makes Luke's Disc Jockey Service different from other DJ and Entertainment companies, Luke responded, "We take pride in our couples and really take the time to find out who they are and what they are looking for.  We like to build relationships and want them to feel totally at ease with us.  The personalities of our DJ's make it a pleasure to work with."  His favorite wedding moment?  "When transitioning into their first dance.  It is such a warm feeling to watch them gaze into each other's eyes during the first dance, as if no one else is in the room but the two of them.  It truly gives me chills," says Luke. -CM
